First Year Junior College Classes have started online from November 2, 2020 for the students of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. As we all know that the Junior College First Year admissions have been postponed till the further notice of Government. Thus, the authorities have decided not to waste more time of students and schedule the classes for Class 11 on the online platforms. Until now, there is no official announcement of beginning of the admission process any further. But, we will update the students as soon as any dates are announced.

Almost 4 Lac students applied for admissions in the MMR region in their desired colleges. Though the first round of online admissions had begun and approximately 75,000 Pune students and the rest 40,000 students from Mumbai Metropolitan Regions got their confirmed seats in the colleges in Maharashtra. But, thereafter, the process got stuck as there was an ongoing discussion on Maratha Reservation in Job and education sectors. Moreover, due to the Corona Virus pandemic the schools have not started. Thus, the officials took decision of starting online Classes for Class 11 students.

Government authorities along with the Board of officials decided to commence the Online study session of the students belonging to MMR region as their FYJC admission process 2021 has been postponed. Now, various private tutors have also begun teaching the students online. However, some parents find this objectionable as they cannot afford the expense of private tutoring. For all the streams like Arts, Commerce, and Science, there are lectures available on social platforms and also live sessions. In our opinion also, online classes will be beneficial for the students as that will not waste their precious time and meanwhile, they can start studying.

Maharashtra First Year Junior College Registration 2021 Postponed

As the students pass the Class 10th examination, they seek admission to the Junior College. For that, they have to undergo a Centralized Admission Process often called CAP. Students who make it to the list of selected candidates are provided seats in various colleges that they had applied for. Those who do not get the seats allotted in the first round wait for the next allotment list and the process continues till all the seats in the colleges are filled or as per the Board guidelines.

This year also, about 4 lac students applied out of which 2.5 lac students were eligible to participate in the admission process. In the month of August, the guidelines were published regarding class 11 admission registration on the official website 11thadmission.org.in. And, consequently, the first allotment list came and on 10 September students were allotted seats. After that, the process was postponed as per the notice of the Supreme Court on SEBC reservations. So, students have to wait for further announcements.
