Exam Date: 1st September 2022 to 14th September 2022.

The government established the State Board of Technical Education and Training in May 1958. The Board conducted the first examination in 1960. In 1962, the government changed the name of the board to the Board of Technical Education. The same year, the Board held the Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering examination for 2500 students across 25 institutions.

Afterward in 1980, the Board started taking the responsibility of developing and revising the curriculum every five years. The Curriculum Development Center is at I.R.D.T. Kanpur. Subsequently, the functions of the board changed to examining and approving syllabus. More than 2,50,000 students are part of the institutions affiliated with the board.
